U.S. Falling Behind In Global Effort To Guarantee Health Coverage
May 16th, 2012
Los Angeles Times: Global Push To Guarantee Health Coverage Leaves U.S. Behind Even as Americans debate whether to scrap President Obama’s healthcare law and its promise of guaranteed health coverage, many far less affluent nations are moving in the opposite direction — to provide medical insurance to all citizens. China, after years of underfunding healthcare, is on track to complete a three-year, $124-billion initiative projected to cover more than 90% of the nation’s residents (Levey, 5/12).

What is the Best Way to Discipline my Kids?
April 19th, 2012
Disciplining your kids may not always be something you want to do, much like talking about death with your kids, it is something that must be done at some point. After all, you do not want for them to think you are the mean parent. For children who spend much of the time they have in between school with a stay-at-home parent, that parent gets labeled as the mean one. The parent who works outside of the home spends less time daily with the children and has less of an occasion to have to discipline the children.
This is not very fair. But then again, you do not want to be overly permissive since providing proper discipline to your children is essential to their well being.

Voiding The Mandate, Or The Entire Law, Would Upend Plans By Insurers, Employers
April 6th, 2012
Popular provisions that have already gone into effect, such as letting children stay on their parents’ insurance plans until they turn 26, would fall if the law is thrown out. If only the mandate is declared unconstitutional, however, the law would still affect millions.
The Wall Street Journal: Health Case Ripples Outward Among those set to implement the law, insurers would have to ditch changes to their businesses designed to bring in millions of new customers. Provisions that have already gone into effect, including letting children stay on their parents’ insurance plans until they turn 26, would no longer be required.

Life Insurance Dividend – Understanding Your Life Insurance
April 2nd, 2012
A life insurance dividend will be money that you could receive from your life insurance company if you choose a particular type of policy, much like a life coverage pay out. If you purchase a permanent life insurance policy, for example, you will need to make sure you participate in order to receive your dividend from the company. If you choose one of these policies from your life insurance company in which you will receive a life insurance dividend, you will be able to receive money in the future from your policy. You will have to be a participating member in order to receive this type of life insurance dividend, though.
Because a participating whole life insurance policy that gives you a dividend will generally be more expensive, it will be vital for you to compare different policies to save as much money as possible.

Single Life Insurance – Compare Single Life Cover Rates
March 21st, 2012
Single life insurance policies have one person specifically named as the policy holder. This suffices in many instances, particularly when purchasing a term life insurance policy to help financially sustain your family after your death. It has an expiration date, or a term, from five years to thirty years in length. Sometimes you may also be able to buy a term life insurance policy for a single individual that specifically reaches a particular age.
Once you determined that you want to buy a term life insurance policy or even a mutual benefit life policy, there are other decisions to make. For one, it will come into focus whether you will have to buy a single life insurance plan or another type, called survivorship life insurance.
