Texas is one of the few states that regulates certain types of insurance policies by requiring them to be written in a pre-determined, standardized form. Until 2005, auto insurance was one of the standardized types of insurance. Though the standardized policy is still available for sale, non-standard insurance coverage has also been sold in Texas since 2005. Idaho State Auto Insurance Crash Laws

For example, Idaho Statute 49-1301 states that anyone who causes an accident must stop at the accident scene or as close as possible and make every effort to remain there until all other provisions of the law regarding accidents are fulfilled. Auto insurance laws are similarly detailed. The two sets of laws overlap only briefly, however, so there are few state laws regarding auto insurance at the time of a crash.

Ontario Car Insurance Information

- The Financial Services Commission of Ontario explains minimum insurance coverage set under Ontario law includes third-party liability coverage, statutory accident benefits coverage and direct compensation. Ontario auto insurance must also include coverage for an accident involving an uninsured driver.
