July 19th, 2011
Nearly two dozen states are in support of a challenge to the health care reform law presented by Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder. The states all believe the law, passed in March 2010, is unconstitutional because it requires people to purchase health insurance.
States Ask for Appeal to Previous Lawsuit
Shortly after health care reform was signed into law, Missouri began to fight what it believed was the unconstitutionality of requiring a person to purchase health insurance. In May 2010, the Missouri House of Representatives allowed residents and employers vote on their right to decline coverage.
Then in July, Kinder and six state residents sued U.S. of

Insurance marketing: show clients your enthusiasm
July 7th, 2011
If you’re not excited about your product, why should anyone else be?
Let the customer know upfront that you like the product you’re selling and can’t wait to tell him or her all about it. And don’t frame it as a sales pitch. Really tell the customer why you got into the insurance marketing business to sell the policies you’re selling.
If the customer can see you’re a believer in your product and what you can do for people, you can make him or her a believer, too.
To go into a little more detail, here are some things you can do through the process of your sales presentation to make things go smoother for both you and the client.
First off, don’t sell the product over the phone unless you have to. Wait for

California Assembly Bill Gives Authority to Reject Health Insurance Rate Hikes
June 23rd, 2011
A California assembly bill giving health insurance regulators authority over rate hikes has advanced. The bill, AB52, which was approved by the state Assembly on Thursday, brings regulators one step closer to having the power theyve wanted to reject or modify excessive health premium increases in California.

June 13th, 2011
One of the biggest buzz topics in insurance marketing right now is social networking, the practice of users sharing links, talking to one another and catching up via web-based tools available through personal computers, mobile phones and now tablet PCs like the iPad.
People can’t stop talking about it and its effect on how business is done. Some are saying it’s the new fact of insurance marketing and is here to stay; others dismiss it as a fad.

But nowadays, with the shortage of health insurance coverage becoming a major issue, adults have financial reasons to dread visiting the doctor. People may joke about the fact that they cant afford to get sick due to the high cost of medical bills. But in some instances, because health care is so astronomically expensive without insurance, people honestly cannot afford to get sick. Posted in Business Insurance | No Comments »
